The Reverend Elizabeth Evans Hagan
















Rev. Elizabeth Evans Hagan is the Pastor of Washington Plaza Baptist Church in Reston, VA, a suburb of Washington DC. Rev. Hagan is a 2002 graduate of Samford University, Birmingham, AL, with a B.S. in Education and a 2006 graduate of Duke Divinity School with her MDiv. degree. She was ordained to the pastoral ministry in 2006 by Calvary Baptist Church in Washington, DC, an American Baptist affiliated congregation. Rev. Hagan has received post-graduate fellowships for continued learning as a Lewis Fellow for Church Leadership at Wesley Seminary in 2007 and for exploring her vocation at the Collegeville Institute's Writing and the Pastoral Life seminar in 2011. In December 2011, Rev. Hagan received a Pastoral Study Grant from the Louisville Institute to complete her first book on the topic of grief, women and the pastoral life. Rev. Hagan an is married to Kevin, who is Chief Operating Officer at a DC non-profit and a deacon at their church. Together they enjoy watching as many movies as possible and planning their next vacation, preferably to somewhere with a beach.
